Arnie Casey, celebrating 50 years at LTI

Cheers to 50 to years for Arnie Casey! He has never been a stranger to LTI. His father, Arnold Casey, Sr. was an employee for 43 years, his brother, Dan, has been with us for 45 years and his uncles were founders of the company in 1947. Arnie joined LTI part-time in 1972 as a helper with cutting metal, and in 1975, he came on full-time as a welder and welder fabricator. Meanwhile he was pursuing an Associate degree in Psychology from Clayton State University. He thought he would work for an outside company but decided he wanted to stay with the family business.

In his five decades with LTI, Arnie has held many roles, including a welder, welder fabricator, supervisor, and superintendent over the shop. He was responsible for inspecting all military equipment and developed strong relationships that he still has to this day. Fun fact: Arnie was part of the supervision of the building of the equipment for the USS Reagan that is featured on the Discovery channel!

In the mid-2000s, Arnie moved into the office where he inspected final drawings before they were released to customers for review. His manufacturing knowledge made him an expert at identifying any issues with equipment. For the next 16 years, he oversaw LTI’s warranty and installation services. He is currently LTI’s Quality Control Manager, where he has a critical role of spot checking much of LTI’s equipment before it ships, including all military projects.

Arnie commented, “Being a part of this family business all these years and seeing it grow inspires me daily. Doing my part to make an impact for our customers is very gratifying. And probably most importantly, the relationships with my co-workers – current and those who’ve passed on – has been a huge part of my career here.”

When he’s not working, Arnie loves to travel with his family. His wife, Sharon, and his two daughters, Sarah and Katie, are the lights of his life.

Arnie’s wealth of knowledge makes him an incredible resource to our customers, dealers, and team. He has a calmness about him (no matter how busy he is!) and he embodies a giving spirit that’s seen though the many community initiatives he has supported over the years.

His dedication and commitment to our team for 50 years is truly commendable, and his contributions have helped shape the company. Thank you and congratulations, Arnie!
