LTI Achieves WOSB and WBE Certification through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
LTI has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC certification is the gold standard for women-owned business certification in the United States.
The WBE and WOSB standard of certification is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is majority owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women, and that the business has appropriate structure and strategic business planning and implementation in place.
“As a women-owned company, we are proud to announce our newly acquired WBE and WOSB certification,” said Barbara Casey Lane, president of LTI. “These significant milestones reaffirm our unwavering dedication to delivering excellence in serving our customers while upholding our commitment to increasing diversity in our industry.”
LTI is a third-generation family-owned business and has been a manufacturer of foodservice equipment for more than 75 years. “I consider myself immensely fortunate to have had the privilege of working under the wing of my great aunt, whose extraordinary guidance shaped my growth and guiding principles,” said Casey Lane. “She would be so proud of this achievement.”
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and brings about a more diverse, balanced and sustainable economy.
