The David Clark Company in Worcester, MA, which manufactures communication systems and aerospace protective equipment, recently relocated its headquarters into an existing building that was fully renovated. The project created an opportunity to develop a modern, state-of-the-art dining facility, which serves approximately 200 employees a day, five days a week.
David Clark Company partnered with a team including the owner’s Project Manager, Mark David, President of M. David Co., Ron Entwistle of Westerman Store in Worcester, local representative Stephen Goldstein of CR Peterson, architect David Berryman of Newbury Design Associates and General Contractor R.P. Masiello to coordinate the selection of foodservice equipment for the new space. After collaboration and the development of dining area renderings, the project was ready to move forward.
LTI custom serving counters were selected to meet both the aesthetic and operational needs of the facility. The equipment package included a deli counter with Two-Tier QuickSwitch convertible glass shelves, a toaster counter with undercounter trash drops, and a salad bar featuring LTI’s TempestAir technology. Beautiful tile finishes, integrated LED underlighting, and convenient plate shelves give the counters an upscale, contemporary appearance.
“The functionality and flow of the counters is great, and the new dining space has been very well received by David Clark employees,” added Mark David.
Because the counters needed to fit within a predetermined footprint, careful attention to detail was essential throughout the project. Coordination among the project team was equally important, particularly for the freestanding counters, which required precise planning for electrical, water, and drainage connections.
Through collaboration and thoughtful design, the team successfully delivered a welcoming and highly functional dining environment that meets the needs of David Clark employees each day.
